Staff Review: "Peanut" by Linas Alsenas

  One doesn't need lots of words to be funny. All one needs is a misunderstanding, an adorable elephant, and bright drawings. In "Peanut" by Linas Alsenas we have all three. Mildred, who looks like everyone's favorite granny, really needs glasses, it seems. One day she takes home a stray dog and names it Peanut, but it turns out to be nothing she expected. Full of giggles and with no more than two sentences on a page, you'll have no problem reading this story over and over to your little one.  Best for preschoolers to first graders.
