Outstanding
is the only way to describe Nic Bishop’s gift with a camera. Starting with the
book’s cover and continuing on Bishop’s mesmerizing photographs of hypnotizing
spirals of color and scales, "Nic Bishop Snakes" is an amazing read. There is a
photo of an African egg-eating snake that is swallowing an egg four times
bigger that its head that took Bishop many days to get that is truly remarkable.
Pulling our self away from the photos we can read many interesting factoids
about the various snakes. The end notes describes some of the problems that
Bishop encountered in photographing his subjects including being bitten. If you
