Levine's poetry will have you laughing out loud. She has written a collection of false apologies for acts of revenge, things that kids generally get in trouble for, bizarre behavior, and even some twisted takes on traditional children's songs and fairy tales. Matthew Cordell's pencil drawings illustrate the poems well, with a somewhat Roald Dahl-like style. These poems would be a great for everyone, including kids who normally hate poetry. Recommended for students in grades three and up, or at whatever age your child starts to recognize irony and sarcasm.
