Glow in the Dark fun

Did you go to one of our Glow in the Dark programs this summer? If so, you probably made some cool slime that glowed or a lava lamp. If you would like to do those crafts at home, here are the directions.

Glow in the Dark Slime
1 Plastic Bag
Clear Glue
Glow in the Dark Paint
Tablespoon water
Over saturated solution of Borax with water

Pour 1 TB of clear glue into plastic baggie. Add tsp water and mix gently with your fingers. Add a dime size amount of glow-in-the-dark paint and mix thoroughly. Add Tablespoon of borax solution and mix again. If it is still a little watery, just pour off the excess and you have slime. *This craft works with regular glue also but the results are not as vibrant.

Highlighter Lava Lamp
1. Fill a water bottle half way with water.

2. Take the ink soaked tube out of the middle of a highlighter and squeeze the highlighter ink into the bottle to color the water.

3. Fill the rest of the water bottle with baby oil and you have a highlighter lava lamp that is black light reactive.

Two glow in the dark crafts you can do at home. How cool is that?!?!
