Staff Review: "Bedtime Math" by Laura Overdeck

Reading is a great addition to a bedtime routine, no matter what age your child is.  Any book that isn't too overstimulating is a good choice, but I really enjoyed "Bedtime Math: a fun excuse to stay up late".  It's a book of word problems that feel like short stories.  Then after you read the story, there are math questions based on the passage.  Each page has a question for wee ones, little kids and big kids, and the answers are written upside-down on the bottom of each page.  The book's broken down into chapters with kids appeal such as "exploding food" and "extreme vehicles". This would be a great book to read as a family for children of all ages.  You can also check out "Bedtime Math 2" for more fun with numbers at nighttime or anytime!
