Comparatives and superlatives sound scary and/or boring when you put them into a grammar lesson. But if you put them into a picture book about a super hero chasing a villain through an amusement park, then it becomes fun. "AlphaBest" by Helaine Becker has no more than a handful of words per page, and each superlative or comparative follows the alphabet, so the learning is quick and easy. And there's zombies. Need I say more? Kindergarteners through second graders will enjoy this craziest of books.
