Staff Review: "OH NO, Little Dragon!" by Jim Averbeck

For a fun, sweet story, pick up Jim Averbeck's "OH NO, Little Dragon!" for your fierce little dragon today! Little Dragon is proud of the spark in his heart that allows him to breathe fire, and he does it all the time. And he gets sooty. Unfortunately when he takes a bath to clean up, he accidentally swallows some bath water and puts out his spark. He tries to eat peppers, he puts on all his winter clothes, but he can't relight his spark, and he's afraid that his Mama will not love him anymore. Thankfully, he learns the secret to his spark in the end.  With simple yet highly engaging illustrations, spare and effective text, and a hilarious little dragon who loves to play, Averbeck has created a lovely story of unconditional love.To reserve a copy, click on the picture or the link above.
