In Tracey Campbell Pearson’s book titled “Elephant’s Story” poor Gracie
has lost her favorite book. But guess what! Elephant has found her book and
sniffed-sniffed the words off the page into his trunk. Oh no, now what does he
do. He asks his friends for help. Alligator wants to chew the letters, seal
wants to spin the letters, monkey wants to throw the letters, and well you know
bear just wants to snore. Luckily Gracie figures out how to get the letters
back into words and on the pages of her book.
The
illustrations were fun. The look on elephants face when seal wants to juggle
the letters is precious. Be sure to take time to look at the endpapers which
shows elephant using his body to make all the letters of the alphabet.
