Play Outside

In "The Typewriter" by Bill Thomson, three children discover the power of imagination through words when they find a magical typewriter on a snowy day. "Puddle" by Hyewon Yum chronicles the story of a little boy who is so annoyed and bored by the rain outside that he refuses to play. His mother pulls him out of his boredom by drawing a little boy and his mother going for a walk in the rain, only to end up splashing in puddles. The funny child-like drawings will bring giggles to readers, and adults will appreciate the sweet relationship between the mother and child.
